For over twenty-five years, Fazil Say has been thrilling audiences with performances that go straight to the heart.
During a visit in Ankara in 1986, the composer Aribert Reimann commented: “You have to hear him, this boy plays the piano like the devil!”.
Unrestrained and multifaceted talent, Say established himself thanks to his eccentric way of interpreting the classics and a rare sensitivity for every genre, that soon led him to composition.
For his first recital in Sala 500, on the border between jazz, romantic piano and folklore, he explores Schubert’s last Sonata, the Mozartian KV 331 with its famous Allegretto alla turca and his own work born during the pandemic.
